Question: my implants has broken – what should i do?

Hey! I have received 2 dental implants on each side of the upper jaw for a year. A very extensive and time-consuming treatment where they cleaned the residue after 4 teeth (2 on each side). Operated a new leg for future titans to be secured and after 4 new kronor? which was screwed according to all the rules of the art and filled again. After years of pain and misery, I am happy to leave the dentist in Gothenburg with a working dental set in the spring of 2013.
Last night, during a lighter meal, one of the implants was loosened, and with my layman’s eyes it seems that the two screws that hold the implant have gone off as the gums mean that the threads of each screw are still stuck in the dental bone.
I have of course handled my implants following the previews and advice I received after surgery and did not use my teeth in any unnatural way.
When I look for the fastest online after guarantees for these things, it’s only 2 years from the day the screws were fixed. Is this correct? is my first question. After a treatment that took less than 2 years and cost me over $ 7,000, I feel questioned about the relatively short warranty period. Can not you ask for a leg treatment like me to last longer?
When looking at the crown itself, it is in a state of the art as new and without traces of remodeling.
In addition to the above questions, I wonder what I have for the opportunity to advertise my treatment? Do I stand as an individual completely without the possibility of free claim for this? In short, I kindly ask for advice on how to proceed with this case?
Have had a time with another dentist at the dentist about a day to investigate it all.
Thanks in advance for feedback about my unexpected and unpleasant problems.

It is unusual for the implant screw to go off. Probably the fastening screw has threaded up and the crown is therefore loosened. You get the correct message at the check you booked. Keep track of all parts until then. If something happened to the screw itself, the manufacturer has a warranty. On the crowns there is a two-year guarantee calculated from the final date / date of cementing. If there are different dentists who operated or made the crown then they should have an agreement on the distribution of the guarantee commitment.

My tooth has been loosened. What should I do?

If one or more teeth have been loosened, the tooth is either beaten to the side or completely out of the tooth. If the teeth are still in place, but slightly loose, there is a great chance that they will grow again by themselves. In such cases, there may be blood from the gum and the teeth may feel sore for a few days. It is a good idea to contact a dentist and to report the damage to the insurance

If the loose tooth poses a risk, for example By creating chew problems, dentists should be contacted as soon as possible so that the teeth can be removed.

If you have a permanent tooth loose, it is necessary to consult a dentist. If you do not experience severe pain or bleeding, you can wait and contact the dentist during their opening hours. Often x-rays are taken to determine whether the root and leg are still intact. The dentist is likely to fix the tooth and follow up with control visits.

My tooth has been swallowed up / into the gum. What should I do?

If the tooth is swallowed or up or if the tooth is pressed into the jawbone.

When the teeth of milk pop up in the jaw, there may be a possibility that permanent teeth have been damaged as a result of the accident. However, this can only be determined when the permanent teeth grows. If the child’s teeth are not sitting in their usual place or it is not possible to bite correctly, consult a dentist immediately. A dentist will judge what to do in such a situation – either the tooth will come out, or the dentist will push it in place or the tooth will be worn out.

Permanent tooth
If the tooth is broken up in the gums, wait until it breaks out again. However, it is a good idea to contact the dental clinic and to report the damage to your insurance company.

My tooth is broken. What should I do?

If your tooth has been eliminated, it is important to determine if it is one:

  • Milk tooth (small, white, bluish crown)
  • Permanent tooth (big yellowish crown)If you are unsure of which tooth it is, follow the treatment guidelines for permanent teeth. No matter what type of tooth that has been eliminated, it is important to contact the dentist.

An ejected milk duck is rarely returned to prevent damage to the permanent tooth that lies under the roots of the milk teeth. The milk teeth are the child’s first tooth set, which is later replaced by permanent teeth. Therefore, the permanent teeth will emerge when it is fully developed.

In case of a dental injury, it is important to contact the dentist and report the injury to the insurance company. Dental damage may have caused permanent teeth damage. This will only be visible when the teeth grows.

Permanent teeth
If a permanent tooth has been ejected, it can be retracted and grow. However, it is important to shop quickly – preferably within 30 minutes. Furthermore, it is a good idea to contact a dentist.

It is important that you hold the crown of the tooth and not on the root when you find the tooth. The pictures illustrate how to keep your teeth.

Put your teeth back in place:

Find your teeth. When you find the tooth, hold the crown of the tooth (the white part) – and not on the root (the red part).
Determine if the root is intact (see if it is too short, has a crash or sharp surface). If the root is intact, proceed as follows:
Rinse your teeth under running water for 10 seconds. Alternatively, the tooth can be put into the mouth and cleaned in the saliva by sucking it.
The tooth can now be put into the mouth again. The other teeth can serve as an indication of how the teeth are to be placed in the mouth. When the tooth is in place,do not press it too hard.
If you have aluminum foil around you can use this as a “cover on the tooth” and then press the tooth in place. Alternatively, carefully bite into a handkerchief.
Seek a dentist as soon as possible. If it is not possible to put the teeth in place yourself, follow the instructions below:

Find your teeth. When you find the tooth, hold the crown of the tooth (the white part) – and not on the root (the red part).
Store the tooth in milk or physiological saline from a first aid kit. Alternatively put your mouth in your mouth until you reach the dentist.
It is important to follow the above guidelines to keep root cells intact so that the teeth can be attached again. Furthermore, the teeth have the best chance to survive if treated within 30 minutes. The tooth can survive and get stuck in the tooth kit all the life if the action is performed quickly and accurately.

It is recommended to follow up with a dentist visit to investigate the teeth and adjacent teeth, gums and toothbones.

What is a dental injury?

Under adverse conditions, teeth can be damaged. The damage may be due to the fact that the teeth are struck by an object, or the jaws are brought together with great force such as in case of traffic accident, fights or falls. Tooth injuries can be of the following character:

  • Prone tooth
  • Worn tooth or tooth whipped up.
  • Loose tooth.
  • Tooth cracked or broken.Depending on the dental injury, there are different working methods and treatments. Either way, you should contact a dentist and inform about the dental injury so that you know what to do next. Often, dental injuries are also reported to your insurance company as dental damage can cause problems in the permanent dental set and thus create additional costs. This also applies to damage to milk teeth.A great article on the effects of dental injury can be found on website in Oslo.
